Person-centred therapy is a gentle, non-judgemental approach that places you at the heart of the process. It’s based on the belief that you are the expert in your own life, and that, with the right support, you can find your own answers and direction.
You might be thinking, “But that’s why I’m here—because I don’t have the answers.” That’s completely understandable. Many people feel lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected when they come to therapy. Person-centred counselling works by creating a space where you feel safe enough to explore, reflect, and reconnect with your own inner wisdom, at your own pace.
Rather than analysing or giving advice, I offer a calm, empathic space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. The heart of this approach is the relationship between us, based on empathy, trust, acceptance, and genuine connection.
For many, this feels empowering, especially if you’ve been used to being silenced or directed by others. It can help you reconnect with your authentic self, set boundaries, and begin to trust your own voice, and activate what we might call your “inner counsellor.”
Over time, this approach supports greater self-acceptance, confidence, and meaningful lasting change.
“At the heart of my work is the belief that every individual has the capacity to heal and grow and sometimes, it just takes the right conditions and a trusted guide to help that process unfold”
